Houston, Texas Woman Sheila Virginia Martinez Arrested in Chambers County for Murder

HOUSTON, TEXAS — Sheila Virginia Martinez, a 23-year-old resident of Houston, was arrested in Chambers County in connection with the deadly shooting of her boyfriend at a northwest Houston motel in 2024.

According to the Houston Police Department, Martinez was taken into custody on Monday. Authorities say the incident occurred on March 9, 2024, when officers responded to a motel at 1307 West Sam Houston Parkway North and found 27-year-old Christopher Gonzalez with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Martinez, who was dating the victim, initially told officers the shooting was self-inflicted, but an autopsy later confirmed it was a homicide. Martinez is currently facing murder charges related to the incident.
