Fargo Woman Arrested in Moorhead for Toddler’s Homicide
MOORHEAD, MINNESOTA — A 32-year-old woman from Fargo, North Dakota, has been arrested in connection with the death of her 20-month-old child, which has been ruled a homicide.
The child was brought to a hospital on May 15, unresponsive, and later passed away. Authorities flagged the incident as suspicious, and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the death to be a homicide. The Moorhead Police Department stated that the mother will face second-degree murder charges in Clay County, though a formal criminal complaint has not yet been filed.
Authorities conducted a search of the family’s home during the investigation, which involved the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The mother will be extradited to Moorhead for further proceedings.
