Yorktown Heights, NY Man Alberto Pimentel Garcia Arrested in Cortlandt for DWI with Child Passenger

 

CORTLANDT, NY — Alberto Pimentel Garcia, a 41-year-old resident of Yorktown Heights, was arrested in Cortlandt for driving while intoxicated with a 14-year-old child in the vehicle.

 

According to the New York State Police, Garcia was taken into custody on Friday night during a traffic stop on East Main Street. Authorities say the stop occurred around 10:10 p.m. after Garcia’s vehicle, a 2003 Jeep, was observed committing multiple traffic violations.

 

Police reported that Garcia showed signs of intoxication and failed standardized field sobriety tests. He was transported to the SP Cortlandt barracks, where he submitted a breath sample indicating a BAC of 0.13%. The child passenger was safely released to a sober third party.

 

Garcia was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger Under 16 under Leandra’s Law, DWI, and multiple traffic violations. He was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court again on June 2, 2025.
