Alexis Crouse dies in fatal Akron house fire

Fatal Akron house fire death of Alexis Crouse – Obituary

Alexis Crouse, a 28-year-old woman from Akron, Ohio, died on May 19, just two days after she was hospitalized in critical condition following a house fire on Annadale Avenue.

 

Akron Fire Department responded to the blaze around 8:45 a.m. on May 17 at a duplex located between East Buchtel Avenue and East Exchange Street. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames spreading through both the first and second floors of the structure.

 

While battling the fire, crews found Crouse inside the home. She was immediately taken to the burn unit at Akron Children’s Hospital with burns covering approximately 90% of her body.

 

Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries two days later. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by local authorities.
