Fatal Riverside car crash death of Juan Carlos Medina Paniagua – Obituary
Juan Carlos Medina Paniagua, 26, of San Bernardino, was identified as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 215 in Riverside.
The incident occurred around 9:33 p.m. on Saturday, just north of Columbia Avenue, when a red Honda Accord and a gray Chevrolet Tahoe collided, resulting in the Tahoe overturning and a person becoming trapped inside the Honda.
According to the California Highway Patrol, several children, including an infant, were reportedly inside the Tahoe at the time of the crash. Witnesses stepped in to assist the injured before emergency crews arrived on the scene.
Medina Paniagua was transported to Riverside Community Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not confirmed which vehicle he was in during the crash. The collision prompted the closure of all four southbound lanes on the freeway as the investigation continued.
