Herndon, Virginia Man Kianmehr Shirinipaziziba Arrested in Fairfax County for Deadly Shooting

HERNDON, VIRGINIA — Kianmehr Shirinipaziziba, an 18-year-old resident of McLean, was arrested in Fairfax County in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night in Herndon.

According to the Herndon Police Department, Shirinipaziziba was taken into custody on Friday during an investigation near the 300 block of Elden Street. Authorities say the incident took place just after 9:30 p.m. when officers responded to reports of a disorderly male. Before officers arrived, Shirinipaziziba called police and reported that he had encountered a man and shot him.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

Shirinipaziziba was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and is currently facing second-degree murder charges related to the incident.
