Emporia, Kansas Man Alexei Perez Ricardo Arrested in Lyon County for Apparent Homicide

EMPORIA, KANSAS — Alexei Perez Ricardo, a 36-year-old resident of Emporia, was arrested in Lyon County in connection with an apparent homicide that occurred over the weekend.

According to Emporia Police, Ricardo was taken into custody on Sunday during an investigation into a report of an unconscious person at a central Emporia address. Authorities say the incident was reported around 7 a.m. Sunday and is being treated as a homicide.

Ricardo was transported to the Lyon County Jail and is currently facing charges related to first-degree murder, battery, and criminal carrying of a weapon. Formal charges are pending.
