Anastacio Martinez Jr. has been confirmed as the driver who lost his life in a tragic accident involving an 18-wheeler that crashed into a house in Mission on Saturday. Authorities reported that Martinez died from severe trauma caused by the impact and possible asphyxiation.

Martinez was traveling east on Expressway 83 when he veered off the roadway, striking a vehicle before crashing into a home near La Homa Road. Fortunately, the house was unoccupied at the time as it was listed for sale. After emergency crews removed the truck from the scene, the structure collapsed.

Mission police stated that no toxicology tests were required since there was no suspicion of alcohol involvement in the crash.
