Fatal Harris County shooting death of Javion Williams – Obituary

Javion Williams, 22, was shot and killed during an altercation with his girlfriend in a stairwell at an apartment complex in northwest Harris County, Texas, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of West Road, at the Derby at Steeplechase apartments, where they found Williams with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the incident occurred following a dispute between Williams and 24-year-old Derricka Ross. Authorities believe Williams had gone to the apartment to collect his belongings when the confrontation escalated into gunfire.

Ross, identified as the suspect, was arrested and charged with murder. She has been booked into the Harris County Jail.

Major E. Dean of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office stated that investigators are continuing to interview witnesses to determine the full circumstances surrounding the shooting.
