Jufri Untung, 30, was killed Monday morning after a crocodile attacked him while he was fishing near the riverbank at Ladang Linddale in Kinabatangan. Rescue teams were notified at 6:08 a.m. and launched a search operation along the riverbanks to locate the missing man. His body was discovered at 1:40 p.m., approximately 30 meters from the site where he was first reported missing.

The Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station handed over Jufri’s body to police authorities for further investigation. The tragic incident has raised concerns about safety along the river, especially for those who fish in the area.
