Fatal Winnipeg Cumberland Avenue homicide death of Ralph Moise – Obituary

Ralph Moise, a 39-year-old member of the Sayisi Dene First Nation from Tadoule Lake, passed away after being found with severe upper body injuries in Winnipeg’s Central Park area.

Winnipeg Police responded to a report early on May 23, 2025, near Cumberland Avenue and Hargrave Street, where they discovered Moise seriously wounded. Emergency medical personnel provided immediate care before he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Despite efforts to save him, Moise was later pronounced dead.

Authorities have launched a homicide investigation and are urging anyone with information to contact the Winnipeg Police Service homicide unit or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers. The community and police continue to seek answers regarding the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
