Fatal Tolland motorcycle crash death of Tyler Jacob West – Obituary

Tyler Jacob West, age 21, from Tolland, Connecticut, lost his life Monday night after a collision on Route 195 near 593 Merrow Road. West was riding his 2009 Honda motorcycle when a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder, turning left from a driveway onto southbound Route 195, struck him.

The impact caused West to be thrown from his motorcycle, and he was declared dead at the scene by first responders. The Nissan driver stayed at the location and was unharmed.

Authorities closed Merrow Road temporarily for their investigation, but the roadway has since reopened. Police have requested that anyone who witnessed the accident come forward by contacting Troop C at 860-896-3200.
