Stephanie Barr dies in fatal Phoenix stabbing

Fatal Phoenix stabbing death of Stephanie Barr – Obituary

Stephanie Barr, 35, lost her life after being stabbed while intervening in a fight between two men near Central Avenue and Watkins Street, just south of Interstate 17 in Phoenix. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. When police arrived at the scene, Barr was found wounded and was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where she later passed away.

Authorities arrested 53-year-old William Washington, who is believed to have stabbed Barr during the altercation. Investigators say Washington was engaged in a dispute with another man when Barr attempted to separate them. All parties involved were acquaintances but had no romantic ties. Washington is now charged with second-degree murder and is held in Maricopa County jail.
