Fatal Indianapolis northeast shooting death of Rodney L. Beeler III – Obituary

Rodney L. Beeler III, 23, lost his life after being shot inside an apartment on the 4700 block of Round Lake Road in northeast Indianapolis on the evening of May 26. Police arrived shortly after 6 p.m. to find Beeler critically wounded, but he later died from his injuries. Authorities detained a 17-year-old in connection with the shooting, though that individual was subsequently released. No arrests have been made so far. Officials believe the incident was isolated and do not consider there to be a continuing threat to the public. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact Detective Bradley Hinshaw or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana.
