Fatal Bakersfield car crash death of Senaida Irene Angel – Obituary

Senaida Irene Angel, 44, of Bakersfield, lost her life in a two-vehicle collision on May 21, 2025, at the intersection of Hosking Avenue and Hughes Lane.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 2:50 a.m. and discovered that Angel, driving a Buick Roadmaster, had suffered serious injuries. She was transported to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Investigators believe Angel attempted a left turn against a red light and was struck by another vehicle heading east on Hosking Avenue. The male driver of the second vehicle was uninjured and remained at the scene to assist authorities.

Police have stated that neither speed nor impairment appear to have contributed to the incident. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has further information is encouraged to contact Bakersfield Police at (661) 327-7111.
