Fatal Dauphin County car crash death of Joscelynne Pannone – Obituary
Joscelynne Pannone, a 21-year-old woman from Maryland, lost her life early Wednesday morning in a crash on Interstate 81 in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
According to state police, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. near mile marker 79.5 in East Hanover Township, close to the rest area exit ramp. Pannone was driving in rainy conditions when she lost control of her vehicle, veered onto the right shoulder, and collided with the rear of a parked tractor-trailer.
Officials from the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office determined that Pannone died from multiple traumatic injuries and ruled her death accidental.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured. The crash resulted in the closure of all southbound lanes between Exit 80 (PA 743 – Grantville/Hershey) and Exit 77 (PA 39 – Manada Hill/Hershey) for several hours. Traffic resumed around 6:45 a.m.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly collision.
