Fatal Banbury canal death of Michal Adam Kosinski – Obituary
Michal Adam Kosinski, a 35-year-old man from Mawle Court in Banbury, was discovered dead near the Oxford Canal on Canal Lane during the morning of May 9.
That same morning, emergency vehicles from Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service were seen in the Longford Park area, close to a primary school and in proximity to the canal. Authorities later confirmed their presence was in response to a medical emergency occurring in the nearby fields.
An inquest held on May 27 at Oxford Coroner’s Court, led by Senior Coroner Darren Salter, confirmed that Kosinski’s death was officially recorded by a paramedic at 8:20 a.m. A post-mortem examination concluded the cause of death was hanging, and identification was made by a police officer later that day.
A full inquest is scheduled for September 15 at 10 a.m.
