Fatal South Fairmount motorcycle crash death of Joseph Rodriguez – Obituary
Joseph Rodriguez, 19, tragically lost his life following a serious motorcycle accident in South Fairmount over the Memorial Day weekend. According to the Cincinnati Police Department and the coroner’s office, Rodriguez died after his motorcycle collided with a utility pole.
The crash happened on May 24 at about 3:29 p.m. while Rodriguez was riding a 2019 off-road motorcycle westbound on Harrison Avenue. He reportedly veered onto the sidewalk and struck the pole. Authorities confirmed that Rodriguez was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders rushed him to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Despite their efforts, Rodriguez passed away four days later in the hospital.
The coroner’s office officially identified Rodriguez on the Monday following the incident. Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash and urge any witnesses with information to contact the traffic unit at 513-352-2514.
