Fatal Bakersfield stabbing death of Taylor Denay Estrada – Obituary
Taylor Denay Estrada, 32, of Bakersfield, was fatally stabbed at her home on Monterey Street Wednesday evening, authorities reported. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office confirmed her death following a violent attack at around 8:30 p.m.
The suspect, identified as 44-year-old Rafael Estrada, fled the scene in a white truck but was quickly spotted by a sheriff’s helicopter. A pursuit ensued, ending roughly 10 miles away on Ramos Avenue, where law enforcement used a K-9 unit to apprehend him.
Rafael Estrada was taken to Kern Medical for treatment before being booked at the Lerdo Justice Facility on charges including first-degree murder, willful cruelty to a child, and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse.
