Fatal Vauxhall motorcycle crash death of Donovan Travis Dineen-Whitham – Obituary

Donovan Travis Dineen-Whitham, 38, lost his life after a tragic motorcycle accident in Vauxhall, leaving his family devastated.

The crash took place around 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at the intersection of Vandries Street and Waterloo Road. According to Merseyside Police, Donovan was riding his AJS Highway Star motorbike when it collided with a Volkswagen ID3 near the Vulcan Studios rehearsal center.

Emergency responders, including the North West Ambulance Service and an air ambulance crew, rushed to the scene. Despite their efforts, Donovan was pronounced dead on-site.

His grieving family shared a heartfelt message, stating: “We are absolutely heartbroken and can’t believe we are writing this. My son, my brother, my uncle, my dad — we love you so much, and we’ll make you proud, we promise. Everything we do now is for you.”

A 24-year-old Liverpool man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving. He has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson, who is leading the case for Merseyside Police’s serious collision investigation unit, said the family is receiving support from trained liaison officers. He encouraged anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from that area and time to come forward, stressing that even small pieces of evidence could help the investigation.
