Mylene Masson-Bessette, 33, was discovered deceased in a home located in Sherbrooke’s eastern sector on Friday evening, prompting authorities to launch a homicide investigation.

Her boyfriend, 28-year-old Joey Bilodeau, was arrested at the scene and formally charged with second-degree murder during a Saturday afternoon court appearance held via videoconference.

According to reports, concerned relatives of Masson-Bessette contacted police, leading officers to the residence where her body was found.
