Fatal Bedford County motorcycle crash death of Robert Ira Horenberg – Obituary

Robert Ira Horenberg, a 69-year-old resident of Potomac, Maryland, was killed Saturday afternoon, May 31, in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in Bedford County, according to Virginia State Police.

The crash took place as Horenberg was riding a Harley Davidson eastbound along Route 43. At some point, the motorcycle veered off the roadway and struck a stump. The impact caused Horenberg to be thrown from the bike.

Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash, but Horenberg was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that he had been wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

The Virginia State Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
