A man wearing a black ski mask approached him, shot him in the face, stole an item, and then fled the scene in a silver, late-model sedan.

Dyson was declared dead at the scene. The shooting occurred in broad daylight in a busy shopping area, leaving many witnesses shaken and mourning. Neighbors expressed their fear and hope for safety in their community, emphasizing the need for unity and vigilance against violence.
