Jackson Scott dies in fatal Champaign County car crash

Fatal Champaign County car crash death of Jackson Scott – Obituary

An 18-year-old from Quincy, Jackson Scott, lost his life in a single-vehicle accident Sunday night in Champaign County, Ohio.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the crash took place at approximately 11:37 p.m. along Ohio State Route 235 near mile marker 13. According to investigators, Scott was operating a 2009 Ford Focus when he veered off the road in an attempt to avoid colliding with an animal. His vehicle went out of control and struck a tree.

Emergency responders pronounced Scott dead at the crash site.

A passenger traveling with him sustained injuries and was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. The condition of the passenger has not yet been released.

The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office assisted troopers in managing the crash scene. The incident remains under investigation.
