Jean Lopes, a 41-year-old resident of Hudson, New Hampshire, was killed in a motorcycle crash involving an SUV on Tuesday in Litchfield, according to local police.

Authorities responded to the scene on Charles Bancroft Highway after reports of a collision. Upon arrival, officers found a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Toyota Rav4 with visible damage in the southbound lane. Lopes was discovered unresponsive on the roadway and was declared dead at the scene.

Initial findings from the Litchfield Police Department suggest that Lopes’ motorcycle struck the back of the SUV. The exact circumstances are still under investigation.
