Fatal San Antonio car crash death of Karina Ramirez – Obituary
Karina Ramirez, 28, was identified as the woman killed in a suspected drunk driving crash Tuesday night on San Antonio’s North Side, according to local authorities.
The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of Harry Wurzbach Road when a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Colin McGuane veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with Ramirez’s car. She was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead due to blunt force trauma.
Two children who were also in Ramirez’s vehicle were transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. McGuane sustained minor injuries and received medical attention.
Following the incident, McGuane was charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault involving a vehicle causing serious bodily injury. His bond has been set at \$200,000, according to Bexar County court documents.
Authorities confirmed that no booking photo of McGuane was available as of Friday. The crash remains under investigation by the San Antonio Police Department.
