Fatal Stratford jet ski crash death of Carlos Cruz Gonzalez – Obituary

Carlos Cruz Gonzalez, a 45-year-old Bridgeport resident, was identified as the victim of a deadly jet ski accident that occurred Wednesday night on the Housatonic River in Stratford.

According to authorities, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s EnCon Police responded around 10 p.m. to a crash site near the Sikorsky Aircraft facility. When officers arrived, they located an overturned jet ski near the river’s west bank. Gonzalez was discovered nearby and pronounced dead at the scene.

The Boating Accident Reconstruction and Investigative Units of EnCon Police are handling the ongoing investigation, with additional support provided by emergency services from Shelton, Stratford, Sikorsky, and Milford.
