Fatal Greenville County crash death of Edgar Telez Contla – Obituary

Edgar Telez Contla, an 18-year-old resident of Greenville, passed away days after being involved in a deadly two-vehicle collision on Old White Horse Road on Saturday, May 31. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office confirmed Contla as one of the drivers in the crash, which left both motorists injured.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene where both drivers were transported to Prisma Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment. Contla’s condition worsened, and he died from his injuries on Monday, June 2.

Authorities have not yet released information on the cause of the crash. A medical record review concerning Contla’s death is scheduled to be completed soon. The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
