Fatal Norwalk shooting death of Giovanni Bliss Chavez – Obituary

Authorities have confirmed the identity of the young man killed in a deadly shooting in Norwalk as 18-year-old Giovanni Bliss Chavez.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were called to a residence near Pioneer Boulevard and Los Alisos Circle just after noon on Wednesday. Upon arrival, they found Chavez with multiple gunshot wounds lying in the driveway.

According to the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s Office, Chavez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the shooting followed a dispute between Chavez and another individual. Aerial footage captured by AIR7 showed what appeared to be a baseball bat near the body, suggesting a confrontation may have taken place.

At this time, no suspect has been identified, and the shooter is still at large.
