Fatal Live Oak shooting death of Albert Roy – Obituary
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified 29-year-old Albert Roy as the man who was fatally shot Wednesday morning in Live Oak, Texas.
Police responded to a call about the shooting shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Ashby Point. When officers arrived, they found Roy deceased at the scene.
Neighbor Harvey Lincoln said he was awakened by the sound of gunfire and saw emergency services respond quickly. “I heard popping,” Lincoln recalled. “Firetrucks were here. Police were here. EMS was here. A bunch of people were around because everyone heard it clearly.”
Chief Michael Fratus of the Live Oak Police Department stated that a vehicle, possibly linked to a suspect, was recovered in a different location. He also confirmed that the Texas Rangers are now aiding in the investigation.
As of now, investigators have not determined what led to the shooting or how many individuals may have been involved. Updates will be provided as the case develops.
