Fatal Spartanburg motorcycle crash death of Israel David Holguin – Obituary

A tragic motorcycle accident on W. O. Ezell Boulevard in Spartanburg, South Carolina, claimed the life of 23-year-old Israel David Holguin of Boiling Springs on Friday night, June 6, 2025.

According to Spartanburg Police, officers were dispatched to the crash site at approximately 9:15 p.m. after reports of a motorcycle accident. Witnesses told police the black motorcycle was heading east when the rider tried to change lanes, lost control, and veered off the left side of the road.

The motorcycle collided with a tree located in the median. Holguin, who authorities confirmed was not wearing a helmet at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene just one minute later, at 9:16 p.m.

The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office confirmed Holguin’s identity shortly afterward. Both the police department and the coroner’s office are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
