Fatal Colorado Springs workplace accident death of Aiden Hernandez – Obituary

Nineteen-year-old Aiden Hernandez tragically lost his life while working in Colorado Springs when a tree limb fell on him on May 29 around 10 a.m., according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene and attempted to perform CPR, but Hernandez was pronounced dead where the accident occurred. Few details were released about the incident beyond the falling branch.

Hernandez, who was preparing to become a father, had dreams that extended beyond the football field. Though once aspiring to play professionally, his true ambition was to pursue a culinary career. His former coach, Chad Drummond, described him as a passionate and determined young man whose presence brought warmth and joy to those around him.

“He had a contagious smile and incredible energy. He was focused and full of life from a very young age,” Drummond shared.

His death is a heartbreaking loss for his loved ones and especially devastating as he will never have the chance to meet his unborn son.

Hernandez would have turned 20 years old on June 12.
