A 19-year-old from Fresno, Kenneth Xiong, was killed in a shooting that occurred in a wash area of San Bernardino County, prompting the arrest of two suspects now charged with murder.

Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call reporting an unresponsive man around 6:40 a.m. on Saturday in the Oak Glen Wash near Avenue D in Yucaipa. Upon arrival, they discovered Kenneth Xiong with gunshot wounds, and he was declared deceased at the scene.

Xiong was a U.S. Army servicemember, holding the position of Bradley Crewmember 19C, as documented by the Gun Violence Archive.
