Gaylin Carson dies in fatal Casper car crash

Fatal Casper car crash death of Gaylin Carson – Obituary

Gaylin Carson, 27, was killed in a rollover crash near Casper, Wyoming, on June 1, 2025. The fatal incident also claimed the life of his passenger, 37-year-old Jeffrrey Delong.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Carson was behind the wheel of a Chevy Blazer traveling southbound on Wyoming Highway 256, also known as Cole Creek Road. At the junction with Yellowstone Highway, Carson failed to complete a left turn, causing the vehicle to veer off the road to the right and enter a sideways skid.

The SUV’s front right tire lifted off the ground, sending the vehicle airborne before it began to roll multiple times. It eventually came to rest upside down. Delong, who was wearing a seatbelt, and Carson, who was not, were the only occupants in the vehicle. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities believe excessive speed was a primary factor in the crash. The collision occurred around midday under clear weather and favorable road conditions.
