Noah Alicea, 18, lost his life Saturday night in a rollover crash along the Eisenhower Expressway in Chicago.

The Illinois State Police reported that the incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of I-290 near Leavitt Street. According to initial findings, the vehicle veered onto the shoulder and hit a curb, which caused it to overturn.

Alicea, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his identity. The driver, who has not been named, was uninjured in the crash.

No additional details have been released as the investigation continues.
