Dominic Ferrell dies in fatal Brickell stabbing at Icon Residences

Fatal Brickell stabbing death of Dominic Ferrell – Obituary

Seventeen-year-old Dominic Ferrell was fatally stabbed while sleeping early Sunday morning in his apartment on the 34th floor of the Icon Residences at 485 Brickell Avenue. Miami Police discovered Ferrell’s body shortly after 2 a.m. and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Authorities say this was not a domestic dispute, and no forced entry was found, as the apartment door was unlocked. Surveillance footage showed the suspect fleeing the building after the stabbing. Later, the suspect, 26-year-old Kyrill R. Kehl, was found dead after apparently falling inside a nearby building under construction.

Police have not confirmed whether the fall was accidental or intentional, nor if Kehl and Ferrell were acquainted. The investigation continues as police seek more information from potential witnesses.
