Cievion Smith dies in fatal Fairborn shooting

Fatal Fairborn shooting death of Cievion Smith – Obituary

Cievion Smith, 32, of Fairborn, was fatally shot Monday night near the intersection of June Drive and Williams Street, according to local authorities. Police responded to the scene after multiple calls reported gunfire around 10:38 p.m.

Officers arrived to find Smith with several gunshot wounds lying near a vehicle. Despite efforts to assist him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, Smith was a resident of a nearby apartment. Several shell casings were discovered in the area, but as of Wednesday morning, no arrests had been made in connection with the case.

One 911 caller described seeing Smith on the ground with visible chest wounds and noted that he was barely breathing at the time. The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
