Fatal Nyandarua County car crash death of Geetha Shoji Issac – Obituary

Geetha Shoji Issac, a 58-year-old resident of Qatar originally from Kerala, India, was among five individuals who tragically lost their lives in a devastating road accident in Nyandarua County, Kenya, on Monday.

 

The accident occurred along the Ol Jororok-Nakuru Road when the bus carrying a group of Indian nationals, mostly Qatar residents on a holiday trip, overturned. Four others who died in the crash have been identified as Riya Ann (41), her 8-year-old daughter Tyra Rodrigues, Jasna Kuttikkattuchalil (30), and Roohie Mehrin, an infant just 18 months old.

 

Postmortem examinations were completed Tuesday night, and the Indian embassy in Qatar confirmed that efforts to transport the bodies back home are being coordinated through the High Commission of India in Nairobi. The remaining 23 members of the group were moved to Nairobi for medical treatment. One of the injured is reportedly in critical condition, while others are receiving appropriate care.

 

A consular team from the Indian high commission is working closely with local authorities in Kenya to provide necessary support and assistance. The Indian embassy has extended its condolences to the grieving families and continues to monitor the situation closely.

 

This tragic event has deeply affected the Indian and expatriate communities in Qatar, with many expressing sorrow and offering prayers for the victims and their loved ones.
