LOS ANGELES, CA — Alejandro Theodoro Orellana, a resident of East Los Angeles, was arrested by FBI agents in connection with allegations of distributing face shields to suspected rioters during protests earlier this week.

The arrest took place early Thursday morning at a home near 6th Street and Ditman Avenue, where federal agents, assisted by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and National Guard personnel, executed a search warrant. Residents reported hearing loud noises from flashbangs and explosions during the operation.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Orellana faces an allegation of Conspiracy to Commit Civil Disorders under federal law.
