Joseph Jereidini, 26, of Saucier, Mississippi, was tragically killed early Saturday morning after fleeing from law enforcement in Ocean Springs. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on June 14, when officers attempted to pull over his Harley‑Davidson motorcycle on Bowen Avenue following a traffic violation.

Jereidini led deputies on a pursuit north along Cox Avenue, which culminated in his motorcycle colliding with a westbound silver Chrysler 300 at the intersection with Bienville Boulevard. The driver and a passenger in the Chrysler were transported to USA Medical Center in Mobile with injuries, while Jereidini was taken to Ocean Springs Hospital, where he later died.

Police have not elaborated on the specific reasons for the attempted stop beyond citing a traffic violation. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is expected to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the crash.
