Fatal Decatur shooting death of Akera Harris – Obituary

Akera Harris, 27, of Decatur, was found dead early Saturday morning after a shooting on West Moulton Street, according to the Decatur Police Department. Officers responded to the 1600 block shortly after 3:22 a.m. and discovered Harris’ body at the scene.

Authorities confirmed that Harris had suffered a gunshot wound. Police have since identified 32-year-old Ronald Bland as the primary suspect in the case, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
