Marvin Cortez dies in fatal Calabasas crash

Fatal Calabasas crash death of Marvin Cortez – Obituary

Marvin Cortez, 37, lost his life Saturday morning after a collision between his bicycle and a Chevrolet Camaro on Stunt Road, just south of Mulholland Highway in Calabasas. The California Highway Patrol reported the incident happened around 9:25 a.m.

According to CHP’s initial investigation, Cortez was riding his bicycle northbound but was in the southbound lane as he approached a blind curve. At that moment, a 26-year-old man from Thousand Oaks was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Camaro southbound and struck Cortez.

Cortez was transported to a hospital but unfortunately died en route. His city of residence was not publicly disclosed. The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
