Dejay Ducharme dies in fatal Mason snowmobile crash

Fatal Mason snowmobile crash death of Dejay Ducharme – Obituary

Dejay Ducharme, 37, of Mason, New Hampshire, lost his life early Sunday morning after his snowmobile crashed into a tree along Old County Road.

Emergency responders from Mason Police, Fire, EMS, Brookline Ambulance Service, and the New Hampshire State Police were dispatched around 2:14 a.m. following reports of a serious snowmobile accident involving an adult male. When authorities arrived, they found that Ducharme had veered off the roadway at high speed before colliding with a tree.

Despite the immediate efforts of first responders, Ducharme was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations by New Hampshire Fish and Game Conservation Officers indicate that excessive speed, alcohol use, and operating the snowmobile on a public road were likely contributing factors in the crash. It was also confirmed that Ducharme was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The incident remains under investigation by the Conservation Officers.
