Stephen Gantz, 54, was involved in a deadly incident in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, following a high-speed police pursuit that ended with the discovery of a woman’s body inside his home.

The events began Thursday, June 12, when officers were called to respond to reports of a man causing a disturbance in a neighborhood, running and shouting erratically. Upon arrival, police spotted Gantz leaving the area in a black SUV. When officers attempted to stop him, Gantz refused to pull over, sparking a prolonged and hazardous chase.

The pursuit ultimately ended at Gantz’s residence on Nacozari Lane—the very location of the initial disturbance. Upon entering the home, officers found the body of a woman. Gantz was arrested and now faces charges including murder and fleeing from law enforcement.

Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased woman and stated that the investigation remains ongoing, with further information to be shared as appropriate.

Hot Springs Village is located approximately 50 miles southwest of Little Rock.
