Fatal Nashville shooting death of Steven Pierce and Amina Pierce

Two people were found dead Sunday morning inside a condominium on 31st Avenue North in what police are calling an apparent murder-suicide involving a married couple.

The deceased have been identified as 46-year-old Steven Pierce and his wife, 30-year-old Amina Pierce. Investigators say the couple had been experiencing ongoing tension related to divorce proceedings and financial struggles in the days leading up to the incident.

According to authorities, a heated argument between the two escalated inside their home, where Steven reportedly shot Amina before turning the gun on himself. A revolver was located beneath Steven’s body at the scene.

The deadly encounter took place around 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the couple’s deaths and ask anyone with further information to come forward.
