Nisaha Blanco was fatally shot on Saturday evening in Richland County, South Carolina, and authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with her death.
Deputies from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 4300 block of Candlelite Drive, located near Bluff Road, after receiving a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Blanco lying next to a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Deputies administered CPR until emergency responders arrived and transported her to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save her, Blanco died from her injuries.
Initially, officers were unable to locate the shooter. However, their investigation identified 37-year-old Dexter Fuller as the suspect. Deputies stated that Fuller later returned to the scene, where he was taken into custody.
Authorities have charged Fuller with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Early findings suggest the incident may have stemmed from a dispute involving family members.
