On Saturday, June 14, 2025, a two-vehicle collision on South Saint Marys Street near Haller Road resulted in the death of Jade Sanchez of Dagus Mines. The incident occurred around 4:48 p.m. as one of the vehicles was leaving a McDonald’s parking lot.

According to Saint Marys police, Sanchez was driving a 2017 Ford when she pulled out of the McDonald’s lot and struck a 2016 Jeep traveling north in the inside lane of South Saint Marys Street.

Sanchez suffered fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep, a resident of Ridgway, was unharmed, authorities said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
