Fatal Wallingford house fire death of John Niece
A tragic house fire in Wallingford claimed the life of 69-year-old John Niece early Tuesday morning, according to Kentucky State Police.
Authorities from KSP’s Morehead Post 8 were called to assist after Fleming County Dispatch received reports of a burning home around 7:40 a.m.
An initial review by investigators determined that Niece was inside the residence at the time the fire broke out and was unable to escape.
His death was confirmed at the scene, and state police have since launched a full investigation to determine the cause of the blaze.
