Chesham, Buckinghamshire Men Arrested on Suspicion of Murder Following Assault

CHESHAM, Buckinghamshire — Two men, aged 18 and 46, both residents of Chesham, were arrested on suspicion of murder after a 33-year-old man died in hospital following an assault in Chesham.

According to Thames Valley Police, the victim was found critically injured at the junction of Upland Avenue and Upper Belmont Road on Tuesday, June 10, and later died on Saturday, June 14. The arrests were made in connection with the incident.

 

Chief Superintendent Emma Burroughs stated that the assault appeared to be an isolated event and that police presence in the area would increase to support residents and collect evidence. Detective Chief Inspector Peter Clarke confirmed the investigation is ongoing and urged the public not to speculate while asking anyone with information to contact the police.

 

The two men are currently being questioned and the investigation continues.
