Fatal Marysville car crash death of Salma Ramirez-Lujano

Salma Ramirez-Lujano, 22, was one of three victims killed in a deadly head-on crash Saturday afternoon in Marysville, California.

 

According to the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred around 2:15 p.m. on Highway 70, between Laurellen Road and 24th Street. A sedan carrying five people, including a toddler, collided with a truck that had only the driver inside.

 

Salma Ramirez-Lujano was among the passengers in the sedan, along with Michael Mallison, 17, and Clint Waddell, 22. All three were declared dead at the scene by emergency personnel.

 

A toddler riding in the sedan was injured, though details of the injuries were not immediately released. Another passenger from the sedan and the truck driver both survived but suffered serious injuries and were hospitalized.

 

Authorities have not confirmed what caused the accident, and the investigation is ongoing.
